I Learned That It’s Important to Always Care for Your Health

I knew that I was the one responsible for my aches and pains. There is no one other than myself to blame. I had let myself gain too much weight. I had done a lot of sitting and found myself laying down or sitting far more often than I stood up. I ate junk food. I wasn’t active and didn’t work out for at least a decade. It took going to a Sacramento chiropractor to try to get me on the right track again. I am not very good with willpower, but I knew that I had to do something before I got worse.

I had a big falling out with one of my kids, and she didn’t talk to me for five years. That is when my troubles started. I couldn’t figure out why she didn’t understand that having an argument with a person does not mean the end of the world. That not speaking to someone for years can come with consequences. Time is often not kind to people, but people forget it far too often. During the time she wasn’t speaking to me, she stayed away from her father as well. She wasn’t mad at him, but because he was married to me, she couldn’t see him without seeing me, too. Her father died. It was too late. I could not find her in order to tell her.

when my daughter finally decided to talk to me again, she came to visit She asked how her father was, and I was able to give her the news. The look of realization on her face was unmistakable. She told me she would never leave me again. It was that very day that I began to feel better and suddenly wanted to care for myself again. I made an appointment with a chiropractor to get help and threw out all the junk food in the house, too.
